The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare implements the Scheme for Promotion Menstrual Hygiene among adolescent girls in age group 10-19 years since 2011. scheme is supported by National Mission through State Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) route based on proposals received from States / UTs. major objectives are to increase awareness menstrual hygiene; access use high-quality sanitary napkins ensure safe disposal an environment friendly manner. Under scheme, a pack provided Accredited Social Activist (ASHA) at subsidized rate Rs. 6 per pack. In addition, Drinking Water Sanitation under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has developed Guidelines Management (MHM) creating rural areas as part its overall interventions related behaviour change sanitation hygiene aspect. Further, good quality medicines affordable price, Department Pharmaceuticals Chemicals Fertilizers Pradhan Mantri BharatiyaJanausadhiPariyojna (PMBJP), important step ensuring health security women. project, over 8700 JanaushidhiKendras have been set up across country that provides Oxo-biodegradable named Suvidha 1/- pad only.
